I was not a real entrepreneur by heart. I just have the passion to read books. This made me get in touch with a lot of suppliers and editors in the industry for supplies. My love for reading evolved to my personal drive to make a business out of my hobby. I felt some level of acquaintance with other book lovers who are definitely searching for good reads in the market, and this became my personal goal.
Thus, I made sure that my store had quality materials to offer readers. At the same time, I went the extra mile to look for good promotional gifts to hand over to the rest of my target market, in order to secure a set clientele. This is one of the best ways that I can think of to keep people interested in my business. I was not wrong. By the time we were done handing out the last promotional item in our sack, there were a few more people who started to check out our stacks on a weekly basis. It was a positive sign and we just became more consistent in replenishing our stocks with good reads. It was not so hard, you just have to know the basics to learn the essentials in managing a business.
